New laptop? You owe the team lunch. Now it's a queue.
Every office has the rule. Something good happens to you and the team gets fed. Then everybody forgets, and the person with the shortest memory gets away with it. Team Tax keeps the ledger instead.
Completely free.No card, no trial, no per-seat pricing, no sales call.
Bought a MacBook Pro without telling anyone
Nineteen days is a long time to owe somebody lunch.
The rule that makes it work
You cannot settle your own debt.
Somebody else marks it done. You also cannot edit or delete a card you are on, and you cannot quietly take yourself off one to get around that. It is the only rule the app is strict about, and it is the reason the queue stays honest.
Everything else is deliberately loose. What counts as a treat, what it costs, whether it is samosas or a whole dinner: your team already knows, and the software does not need an opinion.

Deleting your own debt?
βNice try, but the assignee list is not a suggestion box.β
What you actually get if you try. The rule is enforced on the server, so it is not a hidden button.
Sixteen ways to end up owing
Good news is taxable.
Pick the occasion when you log the card. Or pick Other and write your own β the best ones are usually Other.

Cards get hotter
A debt that has sat for three weeks does not look like one raised this morning. The board tells you who is overdue without anybody having to be the nag.
Nudges, rationed
One per card per day, and never a card you are on. Enough to be felt, not enough to be annoying.
Proof it happened
Photos and video on the card, with a download-all when somebody wants the group shot. The treat is the point; this is the receipt.
Nothing slips past
Birthdays and work anniversaries surface before the day, not after it, with one click to raise the card.
Who eats what
Vegetarian, halal, vegan, Jain, allergies. Somebody has to actually place the order, and now they do not have to ask around first.
Who is carrying the team
A leaderboard, a contribution heatmap, and how long the average debt takes to settle. Gentle, mostly.
Start your team's queue.
Takes a minute, costs nothing. You become the owner, and you can add everybody else as soon as you are in.
- Free β no card, no trial, no seat count
- Your team is yours alone β nobody else can see a thing
- Invite people, make admins, hand out nothing else
